NOW ONLINE AT FeelGoodSpace.com. Over the decades, Ranna has continued to evolve her therapeutic Yoga techniques, incorporating Polarity Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Cranio-Sacral rhythms, and principles from Tai Chi and Qi Gong.
This modern therapeutic movement method arose from training in ancient Asian lineages of energy based movement, particularly Yoga and Tai Chi, plus life experiences along the way. An Australian-American, Dr Ranna-Lesley Lachlan (PhD, BCPP, RPP, RPE, DFA, Grad. D. Mat Anth., Cert Ministry) first began perfecting her system of energy based therapeutic movement while living in Tokyo (1988-1991). These early developments incorporated Hatha Yoga, aerobic movement, chiropractic movements, and internal energy principles from Tai Chi and Qi Gong, in which she had already earned her black belt.
Since then she has continued to refine her Yoga method throughout the years as her knowledge and training have deepened...

Ranna received her early movement training in Australia. She attended her first Yoga class when she was 15 years old. Her first teacher had trained directly under Sivananda at his yoga ashram in India. Ranna's dedicated interest in Asian movement systems also led her to become a qualified Tai Chi instructor (black belt/ 8th degree, 1986).
To this day, she regularly upgrades her own skills through visiting and practising with fellow movement and therapies teachers. She has trained with some inspiring movement and therapies teachers including Perry-Keene, Su, Chapman, Garbett, Montaigue, Rasmus, and Henderson who each communicated their knowledge with unstinting generosity and the attitude of "now go out and share this with others".

While still based in Australia, in 1982 Ranna had also been accepted into a path of Bhakti Yoga - a life of devotion, one in which she continues to wrestle with her own shortcomings. This process has bestowed on her a concern not only for the physical wellbeing of those she teaches, but also compassion for their inner selves as they grapple with the pressures of physical life.
One the most unique features of the method is the infusion of the "tidal rhythms" of the Fluid in the Cranio-Sacral system of the spine and head into her movement system. |
Unifying movement and alternative health therapies, Ranna integrates therapeutic methods with her movement system. In the U.S. since 1998, she qualified as a Board Certified Polarity Practitioner (2005), a Polarity Yoga educator (2005), and a Visionary Cranio-Sacral Therapist (2006), .
In particular, Visionary Cranio-Sacral Therapy provided Ranna a revelatory lynch-pin piece for Ranna® Yoga™ - the Aumgenic™ Therapeutic Movement System. Knowledge from that training enabled her to push "Ranna® Yoga™" further towards a profound integration of key subtle movements of the human cranio-sacral system itself, melding that with the unique movements and principles of the other movement systems in which she had trained.

As a result of that experience, Ranna resolved to assist others with the knowledge that had aided her own recovery and rebuilding. She set about systematically codifying her knowledge into an integrated method - the Aumgenic™ Therapeutic Movement System.
Ranna began teaching her movement method in Virginia (USA) in 2004.
